Gurudev Shri Amritji (Yogi Amrit Desai) Event:  October 10-12, 2008

What is the Posture of Consciousness?

The Posture of Consciousness is the core principle of The Amrit Method® of Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

During an Amrit Yoga practice, we remain focused on bodily sensations to remain present during the dynamic part of the posture.  That allows us to release the constraints of the mind and bypass personal limitations so we are not practicing conflict and struggle.  As we release the pose and go into the second half of the posture, the sensations of release draws our attention into the present moment where we can experience deep stillness.  From this place of witness (choiceless awareness) we are free from limitations to reside in our true state of infinite creative potential.  As we practice on the mat, we can then carry this deep peaceful state out into our lives.

LEARN TO BE PRESENT & STILL

                *focus on bodily sensations

*release the constraints of the mind

                *bypass personal limitations

*let go of conflict and struggle

                *experience deep stillness

Amrit Yoga helps to free us from limitations to reside in our true state of infinite creative potential so we can carry this deep peaceful state into our lives.
