Qi Gong for Trauma Healing and Chronic Stress is a full lecture & workshop for your video library that will provide you with the following:
In addition to the lecture, you will be provided a link to an instructional video with a daily Qi Gong routine designed to support your journey in emotional and physical wellness.
The root causes of most imbalances and diseases are understood to be deeply seated emotions such as: stress, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, fear, shock, and worry. When tension and emotions overwhelm our nervous system, we continue to operate from a sympathetic response (fight-flight-freeze) until we can discharge the emotion. That’s why it’s of great importance to work through the body to complete the emotion and diminish its charge, so that we don’t stay stuck. Presence and connecting to our bodies is the first step. Specific and regulated movement and breath continues the process.
Qi Gong is designed to take our bodies through this process of activating flow, down to the detail of where and how specific emotional responses impede our organs and system. All while establishing presence and connection; coordinating breath, movement, and sound.

“This workshop is the perfect marriage of active Qi Gong practice and the study of the underlying foundational concepts. Knowing more about the origin and purpose of each form helped me to connect more fully to the movements. Maxx is a great instructor with a wealth of experience and formal training in traditional Chinese medicine. Maxx's approach to instruction is clear, unpretentious, and perceptive to the needs and learning styles of whoever is in front of her. She provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for participants at any level of experience. I love these sessions and would recommend them to anyone.”

“The Qi Gong Workshop for Trauma Healing and Chronic Stress came at a perfect time for me. Six months after a cycling accident and emergency hip replacement, I was still in recovery mode following a revision surgery to the new hip. The session provided a better understanding of the effects of Qi Gong on the mental, emotional, and physical body as well as a spiritual aspect. Association of the movements to the internal organs helped identify and address possible issues I might be having. The practice itself was presented with good video quality and Maxx’s verbal guidance was clear and precise. Variations to the forms were given to accommodate those, such as myself, experiencing any physical limitations. I highly recommend this low impact, mindful practice to anyone seeking support on their personal healing and life’s journeys.”
